Victories go to Genis Civico in KZ2, Daniele Vezzelli in OK-N, Albert Tamm in OK-NJ, Achille Rea in MINI Gr.3, and Josh Bergman in MINI Gr.3 U10.

The second round of the ACI Italian Karting Championship at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo certainly didn’t disappoint, offering a thrilling and action-packed third day. The event featured numerous standout performances that brought great excitement to the championship standings — including a few major surprises.

A total of 248 drivers out of the 260 registered participants took part in the Viterbo event, representing 42 nations. This round saw a larger turnout than the first in Ugento and showcased excellent competitiveness across all categories — from the smallest MINI classes to the high-performance OK-NJ, OK-N, and KZ2. While the morning prefinals offered important clues after Saturday’s heats, it was the finals that truly delivered the weekend’s show.

KZ2 – Civico dominates the final
Several contenders aimed for victory in KZ2, but it was Spain’s Genis Civico (CL Racing Team/Birelart-TM Kart-Vega) who ultimately triumphed, dominating the final ahead of Finland’s Kimi Tani (LA Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart) and Riccardo Longhi (Birelart Racing/Birelart-TM Kart), winner of Prefinal-A.

Belgium’s Elie Goldstein (TB Kart Racing Team/TB Kart-TM Kart), winner of Prefinal-B and current championship leader after winning in Ugento, finished fourth, just behind Longhi. Fifth place went to Angelo Lombardo (Lombardo/Maranello-TM Kart), top finisher in the KZ2 Master class. The KZ2 Under 18 win went to Kimi Tani.

OK-N – First win for Vezzelli
Viterbo marked the first Italian Championship victory for Daniele Vezzelli (CM Motorsport/CRG-Iame-MG), capping off a weekend filled with intense battles. Vezzelli edged out Manuel Scognamiglio (Tellone Motorsport/Tony Kart-Iame), who had won the heats and Prefinal-A but dropped to seventh in the final after a penalty.

Lamberto Ferrari (FK Motorsport/IPK-TM Kart) inherited second place, and Juliusz Ociepa (Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE), winner of Prefinal-B, claimed third.
Federico Nardozzi placed fourth, ahead of Giuseppe Piccolo and reigning 2024 champion Federico Rissi.

OK-NJ – Tamm wins a great battle
A record-breaking 62 drivers competed in OK-N Junior. Swiss driver Albert Tamm (Modena Kart/Parolin-TM Kart) emerged victorious after a fierce final, defeating Ukraine’s Vsevolod Osadcyi-Suslovskyi (Monster K Factory/Monster K-TM Kart), who had been a standout in the heats and Prefinal-A.

Tamm took the lead midway and finished ahead of Osadcyi-Suslovskyi and Nicola Stanley (USA), who completed a strong comeback. Nojus Stasionis (LTU) and Rocco Simone (CAN) also performed well.
Championship leader Oleksandr Legenkyi (UKR) maintained his top position.

MINI Gr.3 – Rea shines in a tough final
Achille Rea (Birelart Racing/Birelart-TM Kart-MG) triumphed after an intense final, finishing ahead of Antonio Ianni (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Sweden’s Elton Hedfors (Parolin Motorsport), winner of Prefinal-A.

Fourth went to Scotland’s Mason Robertson, fifth to Niccolò Perico (winner of Prefinal-B), and sixth to Leon Chelidze (GEO). With this win, Rea takes the championship lead.

MINI Gr.3 U10 – Bergman clinches the win
As usual, MINI U10 brought high suspense. Josh Bergman (USA) claimed victory with a thrilling finish, beating Platon Kovtunenko (UKR), winner in Ugento. Third went to fellow American Colton Schniegenberg, who climbed seven places in the final.

Theo Steindal (NOR) finished fourth, ahead of Danirel Pasquali (ITA), Andreas Papageorgiou (CYP), and David Aagten (POL), who won the prefinal. Kovtunenko remains the championship leader.
