**FIA Karting World Cup: Morelli and Perico triumph at Leopard Circuit Viterbo**
Leopard Circuit Viterbo hosted an exciting Sunday of international karting on 11 October 2026. Yuri Morelli and Niccolò Perico claimed the FIA Karting World Cup titles in OK-N and OK-N Junior respectively, each winning every qualifying heat, their Super Heat and the Final.
In OK-N, Morelli responded to an early challenge from Cristian Blandino, quickly reclaiming the lead before building the gap that would secure his victory. Behind him, Manuel Scognamiglio fought his way into second place, while Lamberto Ferrari completed the podium. After a closely contested opening, Morelli controlled the pace through to the chequered flag.
In OK-N Junior, Niccolò Perico converted pole position into a commanding win. Luigi D’Ascoli secured second place in the final classification, followed by American driver John McLellan, who was promoted to the podium following Troy Ferguson’s penalty. The result marks the first FIA Karting title for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 junior driver.
The weekend also crowned John Han as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy Junior champion. The Hong Kong driver finished second in the Final, securing the season’s title ahead of Domenico Coco. Race victory went to Max Sulin, whose strong performance saw him finish approximately half a second ahead of Han.
For Leopard Circuit Viterbo, hosting these races is a source of pride and an opportunity to showcase Viterbo and the Tuscia region on the international motorsport stage.
We thank the drivers, teams, families, partners, officials, volunteers and every member of staff for their dedication and passion throughout the event. A special thank you goes to the fans who joined us and shared the excitement of this FIA Karting World Cup.
